Within about a minute of a date appearing, from 7am to 11pm; within a few minutes overnight. Push notifications land a second or two after the email is sent.

No. We never book tests and never take money for booking one. NCT tests are booked only on ncts.ie or through the NCTS booking line, 01 413 5992. NCTS has warned about websites that charge a fee to book an NCT for you, and says they have no connection with it. The email has the ncts.ie link and three short steps: enter your reg, pick the centre, take the date. The €60 test fee goes to NCTS directly.

ncts.ie only shows appointment calendars after a registration is entered. Yours means the dates we alert you to are the ones your car can actually book, and it tells us your due date so we can warn you if an earlier test would count as voluntary.

A test more than 90 days before your due date. Pass it and your next due date moves to the anniversary of that test, so you lose the months in between. Inside the 90-day window nothing changes.

Up to 5, any mix across Ireland. You can change them at any time from your alerts page without paying again.

No. €9.99 once for 7 days of unlimited alerts. When the 7 days end you get one email, and nothing is charged. Alerts start the moment you pay, so the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply.

3 alerts or your money back. If we send you fewer than 3 alerts for dates up to your deadline, the €9.99 is refunded to your card automatically; you get an email, nothing to claim. That is the promise for a deadline a week or more away. Ask for a shorter window and the promise shrinks with it (7 days or more: 3 alerts; 5 to 6 days: 2 alerts; 3 to 4 days: 1 alert; under 3 days: no guarantee); the box by the Pay button shows which applies before you pay. Stopping alerts yourself: if we have found nothing for you by then, the plan ends and the €9.99 comes back at once; if we have found at least one appointment, the payment stays and the guarantee ends there, because we can no longer count what you would have received. The stop screen tells you which before you press the button. Narrowing the deadline later lowers the promise, never raises it. Appointments we find that your own time or weekday filters screen out count as alerts, since we did find them.
